ORLEN Unipetrol RPA s.r.o. – POLYMER INSTITUTE BRNO, branch, is an organizational unit of ORLEN Unipetrol RPA s.r.o. and serves as research and development base, providing services in the field of polymer production and applications. It focuses primarily on polyolefins (PP, PE), including synthesis, formulation optimization, and testing for a wide range of plastic application areas. In addition to research and development activities, PIB is engaged in the production of additive concentrates for plastics (stabilizers, special composites, flame‑retardant materials, antistatic agents, nucleating and slip agents, colour concentrates, and similar products). Service portfolio includes analyses of plastic structure and composition, analyses of additives, mechanical testing, weathering tests and accredited laboratory services. The Institute works closely with customers and partners across a broad spectrum of plastic manufacturing and application sectors, including the automotive industry and related fields. It provides support with material selection, processing condition optimisation, and troubleshooting or operational issues. It also offers consulting services and sale of pallet‑scale quantities of polymers produced by ORLEN Unipetrol. ​
